Alex Da Kid

Grammy and Emmy winning producer Alexander Grant quickly gained fame as Alex Da Kid after creating the career top-selling songs of Dr. Dre ("I Need a Doctor"), B.o.B. ("Airplanes" feat. Hayley Williams), Eminem and Rihanna ("Love The Way You Lie"), while also writing and producing smash hits for the likes of U2, Diddy, and Nicki Minaj, amongst others.

In 2011, Alex founded his record label, KIDinaKORNER and signed Imagine Dragons, writing and producing their 2012 debut album Night Visions. The album is now certified double-Platinum in the US and features the Grammy-winning hit “Radioactive," which went 10x Platinum (Diamond) and is the 7th most-purchased single in US history.

A thought-leader for reshaping how brands and artists work together, Alex wrote and produced the hit X Ambassadors single "Renegades" for the launch of the Jeep Renegade. The Clio-winning effort exposed the band to a new legion of fans and helped propel the song to triple-Platinum. Following various successful partnerships with brands like Target, Budweiser, Sprite, and Levi's, KIDinaKORNER entered a joint venture with communications company WPP in June 2015. Since then, Alex has expanded KIDinaKORNER's capabilities to include a record label, music publishing, commercial production, and a creative agency.

In 2020, Alex launched the luxury fashion label _by.ALEXANDER and its debut collection 000 CHANNEL BLACK and his own full-length Jazz album bearing the same name as the collection, including breakout single “Trumpets” featuring 070 Shake.

In 2023, Alex invested in EngineEars, a music-technology startup founded by mixing engineer Derek Ali (MixedByAli). The platform “acts as a marketplace that lets artists connect with, and book the services of, over 20,000 verified audio engineers.” Alex is tasked in facilitating scaling and expansion of the business. In February 2024, EngineEars announced it raised $7.5 million in a recent seed funding round.

Alex Da Kid is based in New York City and operates a busy multimedia studio, 66 Green St in Soho.
